EDUCATION
Russian State Hydrometeorological University (RSHU) offers courses at all levels of
higher professional training leading to BA, MA, Specialist, Candidate (equivalent to
PhD) and Doctor of Sciences degrees in the area of environmental studies.
RSHU has the status of the Regional Meteorological Training Center of World
Meteorological Organization.

RESEARCH
RSHU research programmes include study of atmospheric and oceanic processes,
atmosphere-ocean interaction, methods of weather analysis and forecasts, estimation
of possible climate changes under the influence of natural and anthropogenous
factors, creation of the diagnostic and forecasting models.

Latest International News
The 6th Young Water Professionals Conference will be held in Budapest (Hungary) on 10- 13 July 2012. The conference is jointly organized by the International Water Association, the Budapest University of Technology, Department of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering and the Hungarian Water Utility Association.

| The delegation of VNU University of Science (Hanoi, Vietnam) visited Russian State Hydrometeorological University at 31 August 2011. The memorandum of understanding between VNU HUS and RSHU was signed by Prof.Dr. Bui Duy Cam and Prof.Dr. Lev Karlin. |
International Summer School "Climate and Environmental Changes" has succesfully finished at RSHU. The Summer School was jointly organized with Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk) and supported by Bank Santander of Spain. The Summer School has gathered together about 40 specialists in climatology and environmental sciences and Master or PhD students interested in this topic.
